Among all the fear mongering and mudslinging being thrown around during this election, the PAP will form the next government. There is no doubt about it.

This election is the question of the PAP’s mandate of power, from Lee Hsien Long to Lawrence Wong.
Even if the opposition do not gain any ground, their credibility has grown considerably, I wouldn’t be surprised if more constituencies are flipped to opposition in the next 3 – 4 election cycles.
As our democracy matures, the PAP would undoubtedly lose more seats to the opposition.

We started with a lone Chiam See Tong and JBJ representing the opposition voice in parliament. We came a long way and now have 3 main political opposition parties which are credible (Despite Some Hiccups) . In the long run, the opposition will continue to grow, continue to learn and continue to innovate.
The PAP for what they have done, is not fully perfect and neither is the opposition. The current generation of leaders are not quite as visionary or caring as their forefathers. Time will take its toll on the PAP helping the opposition gain more seats within parliament.
We await the results of this election. Rest well everyone! Majulah Singapura!
