Pramender, 25, an Indian tourist has been sentenced to 3 months in prison for molesting a 12 year old girl in a public swimming complex in Singapore.
Pramender entered Singapore with a tourist visa, pleaded guilty on Friday to one count to procure an indecent act from a child and one count of molesting a child under 14.
An incident occurred on March 31 at the Jalan Besar swimming complex involving a girl and Pramender. Authorities report that Pramender followed the girl to the toilet area, where he allegedly gave her a side hug that caused her towel to slip and made physical contact.

Despite her discomfort, he asked her to enter the female toilet with him and attempted to pull her inside. The girl resisted and escaped. Pramender then reportedly took her phone, accessed her Instagram to follow his own account, and sent her 13 inappropriate messages.
The girl alerted a lifeguard, and her mother later reported the incident to the police, leading to Pramender’s arrest on April 2
Under Singaporean law, attempting to procure an indecent act from a child under 16 carries a potential sentence of up to seven years in prison, a fine up to S$10,000 (US$7,700), or both.
Molesting a child under 14 is punishable by up to five years’ imprisonment, a fine, caning, or a combination.
It is quite sad to see that he is only being charged 3 months. No child should go through what this girl has experienced.
